This series of three clips are directed, filmed and edited by Kai Neville in the Mentawais off-season. The choice of going in the off-season was to get perfect onshore waves. The Mentawais are renowned for their perfect glassy barrelling waves. But these guys are competing for the Kustom Airstrike $50,000 cash prize for the best air 2010 so they need ramps. What better than steep barreling waves with a little lip to launch you into the sky and impale you onto the sharp coral below? Josh Kerr, Mitch Coleborn, Clay Marzo, Jay Davies and Chippa Wilson get dirty in the clean waves. Keep your eyes peeled at some the crazy shit Marzo is doing not above the wave but on.
