New Isenseven teaser: Don't Panic
New sweet teaser from Isenseven. We hit up one of the creators to see what's up.
Interview with Vincent Urban
What was the most exiting day filming for Don't Panic!? Why?
The most exciting trip this year was the one to Kirovsk, Russia. We never been there before and the it was a weird and new experience for everyone. There were mostly just abandoned grey houses, crazy amounts of dog-poo laying around everywhere and the whole scenery seemed very sad somehow. But as we started sessioning some spots in the city, many people (mostly kids) came out watching, cheering and taking pictures. Guess they don't really see some snowboarders jibbing in their backyards too often.
What's something in snowboarding that you are really sick of?
Personally, I think I might got too old for all the hating stuff. I truly respect everyone out there, doing his (or her) thing, whether it's the new classic rock-flanell shirt-jibbing-generation or some alaska-pow-geeks. The only thing that I think is really sad, is that the video producers most often don't put as much effort in their productions as the riders put into their riding. Meaning, it's hard to follow all the video productions out there as most of it just looks the same, although the riding might be top notch.
Really stoked on?
Lately, I was involved in many different kind of video productions, from commercial stuff to music videos to skateboarding. But nothing can compete with snowboarding when it comes to travelling with friends and enjoying a somewhat extreme nature. It's just so much fun and all of my most memorable trips I had with snowboarding. This will just never get old. I am enjoying snowboarding for the adventure side of it and we hope we can transfer that feel with our movies.
What or who influences Isenseven's film making?
Most of all: Music. We hear new tracks, then we get the idea for our new clips. Not the other way around. And we build everything else up on that foundation. It's the most important part. But of course we are influenced from all kinds of blockbuster or indie movies, the latest fancy design blogs, music videos or skateboarding flicks when we try to come up with new filming techniques or graphic ideas.
