Folks on Acid
The late 60s-early 70´s saw the birth of a lysergic folk scene on both sides of the Atlantic.
Acid casualties picked up acoustic instruments & began to air out their mangled heads & crafted strange & soulful sounds. Well, at least some of them pulled it of.
In her new book "Seasons They Change-the story of acid & psychedelic folk” Jeanette Leech chronicles this mysterious era of mumbo-jumbo music from back in the day up to the new wave of weird acid Americana that sprung up some years ago.
