Few bands make the transition from cool Indie to Major Label, and the list of Major Label debuts for a killer Indie that fucking suck far outstrips the list of albums or bands for that matter that make that move work, even just for an album….

Now I love me some Rolling Stones, I really do, well up to a point, I mean its what I grew up listening to, Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Little Richard, Coasters, Pink Floyd… etc. and I guess that’s why I am writing this; the Stones were my parents’ (your grandparents’ even) music, rebellious or whatever. Their culture, and sure it provided a framework for the future, but really, all this canonization of “Exile on Mainstreet” (it’s a great album, one of the best rock and roll swaggers ever cut to disc…) is all a little too much.
