Tomorrow Is The Shadow Of Today

Time keeps on passing by like it didnt matter. And music keeps on polluting the ears like it didnt matter, luckily theres music to soothe those tender ears.

I had me a thinker on how important soul music is to hip hop. How it was with two soul/funk albums Kool Herc made the hoo-ers and the fellas go wild in the recreation room of his building at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, Bronx, in 1973. Like how every great hip hop tune contains an even greater soul tune. You gots to appreciate this shit! The legacy. I've pushed this before, I know. And many you might like a good ol' love tune by the 4Tops. Many of you find it cheesy. You just wanna hear Tyler rape bitches. Fine, if you relate to it. I myself like to listen to a man who loves a woman, or a man who's dying to get it on with a woman, like Marvin I RELATE TO THAT SHIT MARVIN! Or I might just put on some old Al Green, from the early years, I found a good compilation of his Hi Records years at Spotify. For me this is as hip hop related as it gets. But to please some of you raping, shooting, cursing, ill behaving youngsters, I'll give you this, The ALexander Green Project. A album by Kevin Brown and the MC, Kaimbr. This is a great playful hip hop album that uses a Al Green sample for every song. You'd think the ways of sampling his music were all done. But here they make another crack at it and it comes out really, really good.

That record and the importance of soul music been on my mind the past week. Besides that, I read this amazing conversation, two music journalists discuss rap after Odd Future and give props to my favorite in the game, Action Bronson. Also, they´re on the same page as me when it comes to Odd Future and Tyler the Creator. I like it when people think like me.

I also heard this really good tune by Prodigy, I told you things would be popping of in Queens . And it samples one of my faorite soul/funk tunes ever. Risin' To The Top, by Keni Burke. But I cant find it again, I forgot where I heard it and the name of it. Disturbing. I'll get back to you with it.

How about a mixtape? Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy & Curren$y, The Jet Files fellas. They released a mixtape some time ago, sorry for beeing late. Cookin Soul on the beats and cuts. Really good I tell you, Get it!

The Kool G Rap album Riches, Royalty & Respect has been leaked, in its entire, by Fat Beats emself
. The label to release the the album later this summer. But its out, so enjoy!

And last but definitely not least, as a substitute to Odd Future, which is on it's downfall (you heard it here first). Random Axe - Guilty Simpson, Sean Price and Black Milk will be releasing their first album together. And as Random Axe. June 14th is the set date. The first single is banging.

A bonus, funny as hell. Wu Financial son, protect your fucking neck!
